Dick Lamb and Hazel Pearson formed Environment Technology Ltd which is based in Takaka, New Zealand, and has a distribution depot in Nelson.
We aim to provide a quality, cost-effective option for domestic, commercial and remote on-site wastewater disposal.
What We Do
We import and distribute AES (Advanced Enviro-Septic™) products developed in New Hampshire, USA, by Presby Environmental Inc and provide information and advice on de-centralised wastewater processing.
We have been involved in introducing this product to the various councils and regulatory bodies concerned with Building Consent processing throughout New Zealand. As councils have become more familiar with the system, our role has focused more on providing information to septic system designers and installers, including full support for their first projects and ongoing peer review of designs. As more designers and installers become AES Certified we facilitate connections between home and business owners and these professionals.
Our team has a background of 30+ years in civil engineering specialising in drainage and general contracting, which in recent years has more focused on installation of on-site wastewater systems.
In 2010 we formed an associated design company Wastewater Design Ltd specialising in detailed site assessment and design information for building consents and property records. Our search for effective wastewater treatment systems that could be designed and installed with confidence in the long-term outcome for our clients, resulted in the introduction of the AES system to New Zealand.
In 2013 Sian Clement (now Jones) joined us and is our principal marketer/ publicist and she is responsible for the general wellbeing of the office. Sian is pronounced ‘Sharn’.
Late in 2014 Hazel Clemens joined the team as our key technical adviser. With a degree in Biology with an endorsement in Environmental Science, she pitched in with all aspects around the office and researching existing and future applications of AES systems. She left our office in early 2016 and re-located to Christchurch to study for a master’s degree.
